Fire Permits are required from this Wednesday, November 2. They are issued by the local Fire Control Officers (FCOs). Background information is available on the City of Busselton website here . From December 15, all fires are prohibited.
For all of those concerned about the approaching fire season and wanting more information about what you can do to prepare, i.e., all of us; come to the Bush Fire Ready Information Session, Saturday November 19 on Junee Place (off Glover Road), Yallingup Siding. You’ll find out how to get up to date information during a bushfire, how to prepare your property, how to develop a bush fire survival plan, and lots more. It starts at 9:30.
And if all this is stressing you out, come to the Caves House Brigade Fund-Raiser this Friday from 6pm for some good music for a good cause. (We promise not to talk about fires-unless asked!)
