On Jan 12th, Yallingup Rural attended a fire in an electricity pole top at Moses Rock.
A team from Wilyabrup joined them. Once the safety of all concerned was assured by Western Power disconnecting the electricity supply, the incident was swiftly dealt with.
Wilyabrup dealt with the related scrub fire at the foot of the pole, and the photo below shows Angela, one of our women firefighters, in action, extinguishing the pole fire.
This was Angela’s maiden call out to a live incident (note the pristine clean uniform 😊). Her regular attendance at training paid off, and the pole top was fully extinguished before further scrub fires started.
